Sergio is a geologist with 5 years of consulting experience in the area of mineral resource modeling and estimation. Since his arrival at GeoEstima, he has participated in the development of grade estimation projects and geometallurgical variables, performing database analysis, exploratory data analysis (EDA), kriging estimates, geostatistical simulations and execution of Python routines applied to validations.
During his college career he developed his analytical skills by doing support work with teachers. He was an outstanding student of the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences of the University of Chile during the academic years 2011, 2012, 2014 and 2016. He completed his degree memory in Mobility of noble metals in a supergene environment, graduating with maximum distinction.
Throughout his professional career, Sergio has worked in porphyry copper-molybdenum deposits, precious metals (Au-Ag) deposits, Skarn deposits, for pre-feasibility studies, feasibility and open pit operations.
Sergio has done consulting work in the area of modeling and estimation. He has been involved in all stages of the mineral resource model workflow (database review, EDA, resource estimation, validation and reconciliations) through the use of specific software (Leapfrog, Isatis). He has been involved in the development of resource model analysis tools with Python.

Sergio is a Geologist from the University of Chile with a Master's in geostatistical modeling of mineral deposits taught by Professor Clayton Deutch at the Adolfo Ibáñez University, he also took a course on Quality Assurance and Control in Geological Exploration, a course taught by Armando Simón. Sergio had participation in the Au epithermal deposits seminar, given by the College of Geologists. He recently passed an introductory course on Machine Learning with Python, conducted by IBM through Coursera.
He is an advanced level user of software such as Leapfrog Geo-EDGE, Isatis, IoGas and Python (Pandas, Numpy, Plotly-Dash, scikitlearn)
